Bring the vibrant, candid spirit of West Africa into your home with this striking documentary photography print.

This original work by artist Meana Kasi features a compelling street scene in Lomé, Togo, captured in 2008. The photograph portrays children positioned thoughtfully near a local street fixture, set against the textures of a weathered concrete fence. As part of the Layli Atelier collection, this print offers an authentic, soulful glimpse into daily life and the resilience found in the urban landscapes of Togo.

The grounded, neutral palette of dusty greens, yellows, and earthy concrete makes this an ideal statement piece for a gallery wall dedicated to global travel, a modern study, or a living space with a soulful, organic aesthetic.

Image story:

While exploring the streets of Lomé in 2008, I was struck by this quiet moment of observation. There is a beautiful, unposed gravity in the children's expressions and the way they occupy the space around the "Propriété de Lomé" bin. I wanted to capture the texture of the city—the heat, the stillness, and the simple reality of life on a West African street corner. It’s a snapshot of a specific time and place, preserved through a documentary lens for your walls.
